This certification trains participants to inspect, verify, and audit LOTO operations according to
international isolation standards. It focuses on identifying non-compliance, evaluating isolation
quality, ensuring documenta%on accuracy, and guiding workers to correct unsafe practices.
This is an inspection and compliance qualification, not a practitioner-level course.
Course Objective :
Participants will be able to:
1. Understand isolation principles, energy categories, and risk factors.
2. Inspect LOTO setups for correctness and completeness.
3. Verify the use of locks, hasps, tags, lockboxes, and devices.
4. Check zero-energy verification and confirm alignment with the permit-to-work system.
5. Identify LOTO non-conformance and unsafe practices.
6. Conduct structured LOTO audits using a standard checklist.
7. Produce accurate inspection and audit reports.
8. Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
9. Coach workers on best practices and compliance.
